Oil and Gas Projects of Indonesia in 2021

Oil operators in Indonesia completed 15 projects that were targeted to increase oil and gas production in 2021, according to SKK Migas.

Here are the 15 projects completed in 2021 that generated additional 18,500 barrels of oil and 746 MMSCF of gas per day:


·      Gas Compression at Lematang – Medco E&P Lematang


·      Non- associated gas compression at West Betara – PetroChina Jabung


·      Gas Pipeline to Balikpapan Refinery – Pertamina Hulu Mahakam


·      Merakes Deep-water Gas Field Development – Eni East Sepinggan


·      Gas Production at South Jambi B – Jindi South Jambi Block B Co


·      Early Production Facility at Belato field – Seleraya Merangin Dua


·      Gathering Station Akasia Bagus at Jatibarang field – Pertamina EP


·      Sidayu Field Development – Saka Indonesia Pangkah 


·      West Pangkah Field Development – Saka Indonesia Pangkah


·      EOR of the Jirak Structure at Pendopo Field – Pertamina EP


·      Development Well Drilling – Bambu Besar Field of Pertamina EP


·      Field development – The KLD field of Pertamina Hulu Energi ONWJ


·      Gathering Station Upgrade at Bangadua Field – Pertamina EP Jatibarang


·      Construction of a new Oil Plant – Semberah Field of Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga


·      Debottlenecking of Jangkrik Floating Production Unit – Eni Muara Bakau

In 2022, oil companies plan to invest USD 1.35 billion in 12 projects that will add 19,000 BOPD and 567 MMSCFD of gas.
